Vivian Huisman is a legal support lawyer at Ekelmans & Meijer Advocaten. Vivian’s main task is conducting research on complex legal issues in cases for the Cassation Appeals practice group. She also assists in fact-based cases and helps the lawyers in drawing up procedural documents.
Vivian Huisman joined Ekelmans & Meijer Advocaten in December 2011. Vivian’s main task is conducting research on complex legal issues in cases for the Cassation Appeals practice group. She also performs research for cases in the district courts and court of appeal and carries out preparatory work for procedural documents. Vivian writes the newsletter for the Cassation Appeals practice group and produces presentations on legal matters for webinars, courses and lectures. She is well-informed about legal history, case law and academic publications. Vivian is thorough and works fast. She sees it as a challenge to produce the input that will make the difference to the outcome of a case.
Vivian graduated from Leiden University in 2010 where she majored in Notarial Law. She obtained her ‘civiel effect’ for admission to the legal professions in 2011. Prior to studying Notarial Law, she took the European Advanced Studies Programme at St. Clare’s in Oxford.
Vivian worked as a compliance and risk management officer at ING from October 2010 to August 2011.
