Marleen Sinnecker

Marleen Sinnecker gives advice and conducts legal proceedings in the field of employment and pension law. She also deals with the law on professional liability. Employers also regularly call on Marleen’s assistance in change processes. One such example is the amendment of group pension schemes to take account of changes to the tax rules.
 
Marleen also likes to help insurers by putting her knowledge of employment and pension law to good use in professional liability lawsuits. She has given many a lawyer and pensions advisor support in word and deed.
 
Marleen likes to share her knowledge with others by giving lectures and workshops. For example, she has given numerous workshops over the past year on the Work and (Job) Security Act. Marleen also fills employers in on the latest developments in pension law.

Education
Marleen obtained her Master’s in Civil Law in 2007 from Leiden University. As part of her degree programme, she took a number of optional law courses and a course in Swedish at Uppsala University (Sweden).
 
In 2012, Marleen successfully completed the course on Pension Law (VU Law Academy), as a result of which she can now officially call herself a certified pension lawyer (CPL). 
 
Work Experience
Before Marleen joined Ekelmans & Meijer as a lawyer, she worked as a legal assistant while at university.
 
Memberships
Marleen is a member of the Vereniging van Haagse Arbeidsrechtadvocaten (VHAA) and the Vereniging van Pensioenjuristen (VvPJ).
 
Marleen is also a member of the Business Breakfastclub Ronald McDonald Huis Den Haag.
